| I learned that my boys were fussy because they were lactose intolerant! I switched to soy and never had another problem with fussiness! |
| I have enjoyed delivering four children. All of my pregnancies were high risk and all of my pregnancies were different. I must say after my first child was born, my daughter, I experienced many different emotions. She was born a month early and spent ten days in the neonatal intensive care. Coming home from the hospital without my first born child was absolutely the worst experience I have ever been through. But I knew I needed to be strong for her. It was also difficult in the NICU because I was so sad she was there and going through what she was going through but she was a mild case for that department. I was not experiencing nearly as much as most of the other moms. She finally came home and what a magnificent day that was! About a month later she experienced her first all-nighter. That morning I sat at the table with my husband and complained of how tired I was with no sleep. I opened up the newspaper and began to read the daily news and read in the obituaries of a child the same age as my daughter passing away. I just crumpled and cried. I thought how blessed I was to go a night with no sleep. I thought about all of the mothers in this world that would give anything to have a sleepless night but could not due to a lost child. From that moment on I swore to myself that everything would be considered a blessing and that never again would I consider anything involving my children a distraction or burden. My life is full of sports, school, dance, running here, running there, crazy hours...but you know what...my husband and I love it. This is what we signed up for, this is us! We have a 7,6,2 and 1 year old...3 boys and 1 princess. We eat dinner every night together, the children take turns saying Grace before dinner. I have cuddle time with each child every day and we all say Prayers together before bed. If I can share any advice with new parents it would be this: Live each day to the fullest, thank God every night for blessing you with your family, savor every moment with your children, teach your children to live each day and never wish their life away - enjoy the age they are, know that being a Parent is the greatest gift you will ever be given! -Sarasota Mother of Four! |
